FOMO Thai @ Melbourne

When I first heard that Melbourne has a wide variety of eateries in terms of the different kind of cuisine(s) they have, I couldn't believe a single word of it....not until I experienced it myself. I stayed in Melbourne for 3 years and everything changed my perspective of Melbourne itself(especially the eateries). As a person who loves Thai cuisine, a person whom doesn't mind just having Thai food everyday.. Melbourne's Thai food hits that notch on my "tasty-buds" journey. I know probably a number of you readers would probably wonder. ."What?! Melbourne?! Thai?! You've got to be kidding." No, fellow readers! I'm not kidding at all! Melbourne do have great Thai food cooked by the native Thai themselves. FOMO Thai is a fairly new Thai restaurant in Melbourne as compared to other Thai restaurants like YingThai or Thai on Elizabeth Street. I did not even stumble upon FOMO, it was recommended by my Thai friend who is living in Melbourne.. FOM

Riblee's @ Desa Sri Hartamas

Before I begin rambling about Riblee's, let's be honest here.. I have never heard of this restaurant not until I browsed through Groupon Malaysia. Groupon is an amazing platform to get to know any restaurant (from a diner perspective), and also a great platform for small restaurants to get known in the eateries market. I always seem to be spending my free time looking at Groupon, in hopes to pick up some great deals. Nevertheless, Riblee's full rack pork ribs, offered at RM 55 caught my attention right away. I was contemplating whether to purchase the voucher as I have never heard of this restaurant. But fred not, Google is always there to help me decide. Having Google-d the restaurant, it appears to be quite popular with recommendation on TripAdvisor too. So, I thought to myself... in just few seconds... BAM! Bought it straight away! Riblee's has been operating close to 8 years with a year in Taman Megah, which they then moved to Desa Sri Hartamas thereafter. The

Yee Wen Thai Restaurant @ Kepong

Situated in the outskirts of Kepong, somewhere along the factory area, appears to have one of the best Thai(s) I've tasted in KL itself. I have yet to wander around other places in search of good Thai food. This Thai restaurant is operated by a Thai guy who does not only converse in Thai, but also in Cantonese, Mandarin, and somewhat Hokkien too. Just amazed by the number of lingo the owner could speak. Food itself, speaks wonders.  Tom-Yam Soup Enriched with spicy flavours and seafood. Those that do not have a high-chili tolerance, I would very much avoid from ordering this. The tomyam soup has a strong pungent kick to it. Great flavours but not a "wow" factor for me. Thai Style Otak-Otak It was my first time seeing "Otak-Otak" served in a coconut shell. When I first tried the Otak-Otak, it was a great twist to the usual Malaysian Style Otak-Otak. Was flavoursome but the second time I tried, the Otak-Otak was a little too watery. I guess it lack
